The project started in Sept., 2006. The purpose of the workshop was to provide experts with an opportunity to discuss and provide feedback on the science research project. Attending the workshop were scientists, educational managers, and experts from different high schools in HoChiMinh City and the Southern Provinces.
The purpose of the research project was to study the management capacity of high school principals in the Southern provinces, compare effective school criteria designed by the research group, and develop recommendations for improving the management capacity of principals and basic educational management in general.
The participants contributed to a lively discussion in considering the logical and practical implications of the project findings. Workshop organizers were pleased with the enthusiastic contributions of the participants, and the feedback collected greatly contributes to the resolution of the project.
