Over the past 30 years, the Institute has had some comprehensive and basic development steps, and has obtained remarkable resutls. IEMH is the educational officers and managers training/retraining center at all levels; has great contribution in improving management professional knowledge and competence for managers; developing educational management science and actively joining in dealing practical things. IEMH had received many awards, certificates of merit, competition flags, and labour medals from the goverment:

- Certificates of merit on training and retraining in the school year 1984-1985 according to the 369/QÐ decision on 28 April, 1986 of the Training and Educational Ministry;

- Certificates of merit on “Good teaching, good learning” in the school year 1986-1987 according to the 284/CTKT decision on 26 October, 1987 of the Chairman of Ministers Council;

- Merit Certificates of the Ministry of Education and Training, according to the 2943/QÐKT decision on 18 November, 1991;

- Merit Certificates of the Ministry in the school year 1999-2000;

- The excellent advanced college in the school year 2000-2001;

- Merit Certificates of the Prime Minister in the school year 2002 – 2004;

- Every year, IEMH is received compliment and flag on the unit having the movement in “The people protect fair public order” from the People Committee in District 1.

- Every year, IEMH is received the merit certificates from the Ho Chi Minh City’s Labor Union Managers and from the Vietnam’s Educational Labor Union on the labor union movement. In the school year 2000-2001, IEMH is received the Merit Certificates from the Vietnam Labor Union Genaral.

- In many continuos years, IEMH’s Party is recognized “The strong and untarnished Party”, especially the College has got this continually title from 1994 to 2001. Among that periods, there are 5 years admitted “The strong and untarnished Party” at the city level.

- Receiving the third ranked labor medal from the Government Council, according to the 923KT/HÐNN decision on 22 July, 1992.

- Receiving the second ranked labor medal according to the 1016KT/CTN decision on 1 October, 1996.
