With the Training and Educational Ministry’s agreement, at the 1265/HTQT document signed by the Prime Minister Tran Van Nhung on 24 February, 2005, the EMTC 2 has cooperated VVOB - Belgium Kingdom on doing Informatics and Computer Technology in Education and Management project in the South Vietnam.

2- Project’s objectives: Introducing skills and methods, retraining acknowledgement and understanding on using ICT for teachers, principals and educational managers.
Final/Target results in teaching:

Developing ICT skills;

Using ICT in managing and in teaching effectively;

Becoming a master training in their school.

Final/Target results in managing:

Working load of school managers will be lesser than before;

ICT will support teachers in compiling their lesson plan and working load of teachers will be lesser than before;

Having more effective teaching than before:

Teacher has a better preparation of lesson plan;

Teaching is much improved;

Teaching is more effective (diversification, evaluation . . .)
3- Depending on each target group, the project will have different supported solutions:
3.1- Staff from schools attending the project and from the EMTC 2 and from other target groups will be trained on how to implementing ICT in education and in management. They have a good chance to have a chance in self-studying English and basic informatics.
3.2- Staff from schools attending the project and from the EMTC 2 have an ICT implementation plan and are equipped essential equipments to do this plan.
3.3- Staff from schools attending the project and from the EMTC 2 can evaluate, choose, use essential educational software and they will be trained on how to use them in their teaching.
3.4- One of the teachers’ effective ways of implementing ICT is working with other schools joining in the project. Through this cooperation and this sharing, managers and teachers will help and support each other in using ICT more effectively. It will be taken place in 3 periods (3 years) as follows:

In the first period (1st year), 9 pilot schools of 3 provinces/cities (minimum 5 teachers of 1 school) actively join in project’s activities.

In the following year (2nd year), other 9 pilot schools of 3 provinces/cities (minimum 5 teachers of 1 school) actively join in project’s activities and have a good chance to exchange with the first 9 pilot schools.

In the third year, these 18 pilot schools will continually cooperate each other in sharing experience and knowledge each other and with other schools in their province/city.
In sum, these following target groups will be put in the project’s plan:

18 pilot schools, schools’ principals, vice-principals, teachers, and students: 2 primary schools, 2 lower secondary schools, 2 higher secondary schools in HCM City;
2 primary schools, 2 lower secondary schools, 2 higher secondary schools in Tay Ninh province;
2 primary schools, 2 lower secondary schools, 2 higher secondary schools in Dong Nai province;

And other target groups.
