Conference of Directors’ clubs of Education and Training Department in the southern provinces in 2009 (09:33 - 23/07/2009)

    In accordance with the guidance of Ministry of Education and Training, and with the theme “Building friendly schools and active students” the workshop of Directors’ clubs of Education and Training Department in southern provinces was successfully organized by the Institute of Educational Managers in HoChiMinh City (IEMH) in collaboration with Khanh hoa Department of Education and Training in Nha Trang on March 29th, 2009. The workshop also welcomed the delegates of Education and Training led by Mr. Nguyen Vinh Hien – Deputy of Steering Committee for the program “building friendly schools, active students” together with 7 members. In addition, 22 directors of the Department of Education and Training in southern provinces and 13 officials, teachers and professionals from the Institute of Educational Managers in HoChiMinh City were also attended this conference. Dr. Le Xuan Than – provincial party member, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee – gave his opening speech to the conference.

    Associate Prof., Dr. Nguyen Xuan Te, Rector of the IEMH and Chairman of Directors’ clubs of Education and Training Department in southern provinces presented his reports as well as the seminar was given the speeches from the Directors of Education and Training Department in HCM City, An Giang, Vinh Long, Khanh Hoa, Dong Thap , etc. Moreover, the speeches of Dr. Phung Khac Binh (Head of Student Department under the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), Deputy of the Steering Committee), Mr. Do Quoc Anh (Director of the Southern Representative Office under the MoET, member of the Steering Committee), Dr. Tran Dinh Chau ( Council Deputy, Director of Educational Development Project in secondary school II under the MoET, Permanent member of the Steering Committee), Associate Prof. Dr. Hoang Tam Son (Former Rector of the IEMH, Former Director of the Directors’ club of Education and Training Department in southern provinces) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thai (Deputy of SCREM project) …. were also presented at the seminar. Especially, comments towards implementing the program “building friendly schools, active students” has just been presented by Deputy of the MoET, Dr. Nguyen Vinh Hien.

    Through reports and speeches at the seminar, Directors of the Education and Training in southern provinces have got the opportunity to discuss, share experiences and get the initial success of this program for the locals as well as the advantages, disadvantages and experiences to the locals to have better solution in the coming time.
During the preparation for the conference, the Organization has received lots of the contribution from the staff, the faculties, the function departments and also the news editors of IEMH enthusiastically. In addition, the Organization would like to acknowledge and respect the thankfulness to all the staff, the faculties of IEMH.

    * In the afternoon of March 29th 2009, and in the framework of Directors’ club of Education and Training Department in the southern provinces, Vice Rector of IEMH, Mr. Huynh Ho also chaired the discussion about financial and asset management in local education departments. In addition, the participants have also exchanged the experiences in educational management, share management methods, and resolve the capital and expenses …. to improve the management of finance and assets in the educational departments.
