The Development History Of The Institute of Educational Managers Hochiminh City

Formerly IEMH is the professional knowledge and educational managers training college (EMTC) managed by the Ministry of Republic Provisional Revolution Goverment Youth Education in the Southern part of Vietnam. It was set up on 24 March, 1976 according to the 18/QĐGD decision. Main task of this College is training, reatraining professional knowledge for school managers and major managers in educational management offices, and educational offices in districts, provinces from the South Vietnam (from Da nang to Ca Mau province).
After the unification day on 25 June, 1976, the Educational Ministry of Republic Democracy Vietnam had a 33/QĐ-VP decision on continuing maintaining and developing the EMTC’s activities belong to the Educational Ministry.
After combining the Educational Ministry and the Technical Secondary Ministry, on 15 October, 1990, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET)had a 1610A/QĐ-TCCB decision in changing the EMTC into the EMTC 2 under the management of the MOET. On 22 January, 1997, the MOET had a 325/GD-ĐT decision on merging the Educational Management Informatics and Teachers Retraining Center into the EMTC 2 and now IEMH. On the beginning day, the IEMH had received the collaboration of the Ministry’s Offices, especially the Teachers Retraining/Training Department, Personnel Department and Secondary Department, together with the cooperation of the provincial deparments.
